then modify the script /etc/init.d/vmware, at line 122 (the
vmwareLoadModule() function), replace the line
/sbin/insmod -s -f "/lib/modules/`uname -r`/misc/$1.ko"
with
/sbin/insmod -s -f "/lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/misc/$1.ko"

then
/etc/init.d/vmware start

and vmware can be used.
